Chasing morning light

You ran ahead of me.

Chasing the morning light

With your smile.

A sweet innocence

To your every step

“Wait for me”

My lips tried to say

But you were lost

In your universe

Of discovery.

Enchantment,

Blue river

There I saw it all,

The lapping lake called your name.

You answered,

Lifting your feet carefully.

Will you stay?

Or dive into the waters

Finding the treasure that

Lies beneath the surface?
